ALMOST THERE!

Yet another craptastic photograph for you, Dearies! I'm sorry for the poor quality, but for the life of me, I can't seem to get it together today with this silly contraption.

I have the stars and white stripes of the flag and the lettering at the bottom to finish, and then we can chuck this one into the big bin under the big girl sleigh bed and move on to the next. I have absolutely no idea what that "next" will be, but I am simply in it for the therapy at this point rather than the finished product. I seem to be enjoying the quiet routine of stitching more than ever at this point, and the crazypants frenzy of days gone by has become just a memory.

(Remember how nuts I used to be with rotations and flitting between projects like a three-hundred pound hummingbird? I look back on some of my posts from that time and wonder who that girl was! So much energy...so much activity...so many shenanagins!)

(The funny thing is...I wouldn't change one single minute of any of it!)

Today is going to be a rest day. If I can manage it, I'm going to try to get myself into the pool to move around a bit. I think it's supposed to be hot and humid, so the water will feel especially nice!  I really enjoyed the cool sunny days we had, but methinks the A/C is going to stay on for the duration!

I hope this finds you happy and healthy and full of joy today. Are you stitching/knitting/painting/crafting something that blows your skirt up? Come tell me all about it!

  1. I love reading about your stitching and marvek at the gorgeous things you create. Wish i had the patience but alas, counted cross stitch makes me want to chew my wrists! I have spent the day at my spinning wheel working on yarn for a cardigan.

  3. I can relate. I appreciate those driven to stitch and create times... but I'm slowing down. Once in a while there's a surge of productivity, but the hands get tired too!! Enjoy your day Coni.

  4. Awesome project, Coni! I hope you enjoy your time sploshing in the pool. I had stitch group yesterday and it always provides a boost to me -- the conversations, the fellowship, the assorted projects. Happy Friday the 13th!
